About

Maria is a certified yoga teacher based in New York, blending her bigguest passions: movement, breath, vision boarding and cacao ceremonies to cultivate alignment, resilience, and longevity.
She discovered Cacao as a plant medicine and Katonah Yoga in 2024 while searching for practices that would help her heal her relationship with her body after experiencing chronic pain and a sudden, temporary loss of vision. Yoga became a tool for self-inquiry, healing, and strength. Now, she helps others do the same.
Maria completed her 200-hour yoga teacher training with Anton Brandt and The Sacred Fig in Bali and her Katonah Yoga teacher training by Nevine Michaan, accumulating over 300+ hours of practice with Abbie Galvin. She has also trained with renowned teachers such as Grace Dubery, Tony Lupinacci, and Desiree Pais. She is currently under the mentorship of Shaira Barojas, a native Mexican curandera, to continue her plant medicine studies.
Maria works with individuals who experience chronic pain, autoimmune conditions, or seek to build longevity through movement. In her workshops, she guides people through the process of creating vision action boards—integrating the physical, mental, and energetic aspects of their lives to cultivate clarity and forward momentum.
Her teaching is rooted in the belief that understanding the body as a house—its patterns, structure, and breath—is the key to feeling good and moving with ease. She helps students build a practice that is both functional and transformative, guiding them toward a deeper connection with their own bodies so they can move through life with more awareness and confidence.
